Fail: The Worst Deodorant Ever!

12:04 AM

Ever since my decision to go cruelty-free, I've been finding replacements for old favorites through trial and error. Some of the things I used (sunscreen, cleanser, my favorite lipsticks) were already cruelty-free, but my deodorant was most definitely not.

I used to be a Secret Clinical Strength girl through and through, so when I saw a Tom's of Maine deodorant that declared itself long-lasting, I thought, "This sounds like the ideal replacement!"
Oh, how wrong I was. How very, very wrong.

I apologize to all the people I fumed during my week-long trial. I tried using it at night to prevent sweating. I tried using it in the morning thinking the freshness would make it more effective. I even tried applying it two and three times a day!

I. Still. Reeked.

Maybe this is TMI, but I'm not some dainty flower who never sweats. I have legitimate pit stank, and this did nothing to combat it.
Desperate, I frantically took to Google and discovered that Certain Dri is cruelty-free. It works. It really, really works! So if you become a bog monster the second you work out the way I do, I'd definitely go with the Certain Dri. Your friends, family, and coworkers will thank you.

    1. It's named after one of my cats, Little Evil. Adorable little thing. Complete monster. :) Eep! I don't even want to imagine the death stench I would create doing hot yoga, but it looks like a lot of fun.

      Thanks for dropping by!

I've heard that about Tom's before.
I saw a rock crystal thing once which claimed to be an antiperspirant deodorant. Never tried it, but was curious as to why it would possibly work.

    1. Minus a few blah days from being sick, the first week has been going pretty well! I've found a few really cool blogs I never knew existed. Oh, neat! I'll have to pop by and check it out.

A... rock crystal? I'm all into holistic, new-age stuff, but that's a bit whackadoodle even for me!
